There are plenty of wrestling historians who documented her career and several of her wrestling contemporaries were in contact with her. Rather, it is a lament that those structures — the meticulous nature of those working within them and how pro wrestling is more commonly memorialized in the internet age — failed someone so vital to people who have worked tirelessly to carve a path in an industry that historically marginalized them.

We can still mourn and uplift Parker now that we have some understanding of the situation. We should do those things.
